That was an excerpt from the song "Spiritual Game" off the album On Rock by a Christian rock band Daniel Band.The album was recorded in the 80's yet this song seems as relevant today as it was in its day.

I'm listening to that song right now (just googled some lyric snippet and found your site). Easily the strongest song on the album. And so apropos today. When I hear:
"And the preachers preach on
With the humanistic message made to soothe your soul
While the truth about your sin goes untold"
I think of this one that is frequently on TV at night.
